Ninefold Realm is a small independent browser game. We collect only what the game needs to work, we don't show ads, and we never sell or rent your information.
What we store
- Your email address, if you join the waitlist or save your account. We use it to log you in, to send password reset links, and occasionally to tell you about the game (like the launch). Nothing else.
- Your password, but never as written: only a scrambled form (an Argon2 hash) that can check a login and can't be turned back into the password.
- Your game progress: heroes, companions, gold, town and so on.
- Messages you send with the in-game Feedback button.
- Your IP address, briefly, in server logs and to stop abuse (for example, too many login attempts). Old logs are regularly replaced by new ones, not kept long term.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you logged in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare carries traffic to the site and protects it from attacks.
- Resend delivers our emails (password resets, game news).
They only process what's needed to do that job for us.
The playtest
During the closed playtest, all accounts and progress will be deleted when the game launches, so everyone starts equal. We keep the emails of playtesters who saved an account, only so we can give them Founder rewards when they sign up again at launch.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you or delete everything we have about you at any time: send a message with the Feedback button in the game, from the account in question. Waitlist emails can be removed the same way.
Children
Ninefold Realm isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the game.
